Born in Lagos to Lebanese & Nigerian parentage - I somehow dodged immigration and found my way to England by the age of 4. Nurtured in a home of 1980's soul with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Alexander O'Neal, Whitney Houston (pre-Bobby Brown era) blaring out of mum's record player, I couldn't help but become addicted to old-skool soul & r'n'b.

After deciding at a young age that I wanted to become a wrestler - a dream that was later shattered when I realised I wouldn't be able to have long nails or keep my hair "did" - I yearned to carve a career in music someway or another.

Fast forward a decade or so, I found myself taking a year out in Los Angeles where I studied as well as took an internship at MTV Networks. Learning from the best, all about music TV production I decided this was what I wanted to do!

Upon my return to London and a degree later, I stalked everyone in the industry before getting a job at MTV UK on the live show, TRL.

Now working on MTV BASE, I have had the pleasure of interviewing the elite of the hip hop & R'n'B world - Beyonce, Jay Z, Sean Paul, Akon, The Game, Fiddy...- to name but a few... As well as making some great shows with some wicked people! But the journey is far from over...so watch this space

Born and raised in South London, with Jamaican parents, JP was exposed to a rich, diverse mix of music from a young age, ranging from Reggae to Motown to Pop music.

JP Quote - ‘I remember my mum used to LOVE Tina Turner, to the point I think I know ‘what’s love got to do’ with it is engrained into my memory for ever!’

Though at first, it was not music JP sought to follow as a career path but something pretty different.

JP Quote - ‘I always wanted to be an astronaut. Main problem is I’ve never really like heights or flying!’

So JP kept his feet firmly on the ground instead. He is now working currently in the world of computing. Despite this occupational path, JP’s big passion is music and would love move into the world of music journalism.

JP Quote -‘I want to be in a position to be able to hit on some artists and get some celeb love! That was off the record right?!’

JP first had a chance meeting with Ms Anisa in nightclub in Birmingham. The club has since become a gentleman’s club, make of that what you will!

JP Quote - ‘I first met Susan in a club during the uni days, she was trying to chirps one of my mates. She used the age old tactic of sending her friend to say ‘My friend fancies your friend’! Needless to say she left empty handed that night! We did become mates though!’
