Vertex FM's very own Candice Mckenzie picked up best female DJ of the year at the 1st Annual BEFFTA (Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television and Arts) Awards

The 1st Annual BEFFTA (Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television and Arts) Awards took place at Hilton London Metropole on 17th October. The BEFFTA Awards seeks to reward the accomplishments of Black stars. Alikiba, 2Face, Mimitah, Beatrice Byakika, Jusa Dementor, and Emmanuel Jal lost out on awards.

Sonnie Badu and Dizzee Rascal, who have Ghanaian origins, as well JJC of Nigeria picked up awards.
